Take Out: Daisy May's

I love that Daisy May's is my fall back barbecue place. I'm within walking distance so the walk-in only plate specials apply to me. A half rack of Kansas City Sweet and Sticky Ribs platter ($21.50) with a side of rustic creamy corn with cheddar and macaroni and cheese. And for just a bit of variety, a Barbecue Chicken sandwich ($10) with chipotle sauce.
Solid as usual. The meat on the ribs were tender and came off with just the slightest of tugs. The flavor was smokey and slightly sweet. The sides were exceptional this time. It can be hit or miss, especially the macaroni and cheese. But it was really creamy, super cheesy, and not mushy. The barbecue chicken sandwich was flavorful, moist, and tender. Another great meal.

Btw, Mr. M&P finally asked why the Jumbo Beef rib had gotten so expensive (when we first went, it was only $17; now it's $31). They told us that specific cut of beef is very expensive now. Korea and Japan are gobbling up all the supple. Daisy May's is considering taking it off the menu temporarily.
