I flew off to Hong Kong again. This time, I was attending someone's wedding. So it was short trip of 4 days on land, 3-4 days in air. Oof! Yeah, I know. But it was totally worth it. Not only to see our dear family get married. But also, the food. Oh how I love Hong Kong food.
This time around, we flew via Cathay Pacific. I actually prefer this airline for travel to Asia because I find it more comfortable and the food better. Below was our breakfast which I chose chicken and black mushroom congee. The rice porridge was very thin but had really nice flavor once I added salt. I would rather the airline lean towards the bland side and allow patrons to add salt. If the dish is already salty, there is no way in saving it. Anyway, the congee also had thin strips of ginger that freshened it up nicely. Along with the porridge was a small cup of fresh fruit that was okay and a blueberry muffin. The muffin was terrible. I left that alone.
In the middle of flight, they offered some snacks. One of them was TimTams which I stored for later. The other was a cup of noodle.
This was really satisfying. Again, not overly salty like cup o' noodles can be. However, I didn't have to add anymore salt to it.
The stewardesses on Cathay Pacific were really nice and the food was much better than my last trip.
