Doughnut Plant

While walking around on day, I stopped off at the Doughnut Plant for some goodies. If I'm in the area, I'll usually stop by for for one or two doughnuts. One to eat right away. I try to save the other for later. It doesn't always happen that way.

Anyway, this time I tried the Meyer Lemon which was really nice but I wish it had a bit more lemon flavor. I think lemon is a great flavor contrast to sweets so some more tartness would have been nice. But, the doughnut itself was soft and delicate. I would definitely get it again.

The other doughnut was the blackout. Really rich and decadent. This is a chocolate person's dessert. I believe it's a chocolate doughnut with chocolate filling and chocolate frosting.
